How to Use TheyaVue: Daily Dose and Missed Capsules

Quick answer

Take one TheyaVue capsule twice a day, 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, with an 8 oz glass of water.

If you miss a dose, take it when you remember or skip it, and never double up. A 60-capsule bottle covers 30 days.

To check what each dose contains, see the supplement facts panel.

Directions

The label, in three steps

The panel prints one sentence: "one veggie capsule twice daily, 20-30 minutes before a meal with an 8 oz. glass of water." Here is what that means in practice.

  1. Take one capsule before your first meal

Swallow one veggie capsule 20 to 30 minutes before breakfast or your first meal of the day, with a full 8 oz glass of water. The water is not a suggestion; the label spells it out as part of the directions.

  2. Take the second capsule before another meal

Later in the day, take the second capsule the same way: 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, with another 8 oz glass of water. Lunch or dinner both work, as long as there is a gap between the two capsules.

  3. Repeat the next day

That is the whole routine. Two capsules, two separate meals, one bottle of 60 capsules covering 30 days if you follow it exactly as printed.

One correction

Before a meal, not after

A single TheyaVue bottle of 60 vegetable capsules

Some listings for this same product describe taking it after a meal. The physical bottle in front of you does not say that. It says before a meal, 20 to 30 minutes ahead, with water.

When a listing and the label disagree, the label wins. It is what ships inside the box, and it is the version this page follows throughout.

None of this changes what the capsule can or cannot do. It is still a support supplement, not a treatment, and the timing does not turn it into one. See who this product suits before you build a routine around it.

The reasoning

Why the two capsules are spaced apart

Two smaller doses instead of one big one is the whole point of "twice daily." Several of the vitamins on this panel are water soluble, which means the body clears whatever it does not use within hours rather than storing it. That is exactly why National Institutes of Health, 2023 and National Institutes of Health, 2022 report no established upper limit for thiamin or riboflavin: a large dose simply passes through faster than it can cause harm, and a smaller, steadier dose passes through more calmly than a single large one.

Splitting the day in two does not fix the two lines that already run close to a limit. Niacin reaches 40 mg NE a day and zinc reaches 32 mg a day whether you take both capsules together or eight hours apart, because both numbers are a daily total, not a per-dose one. What splitting does is keep either single dose from being twice as large as the label intends, which matters most if you ever consider skipping the second capsule and taking a double one instead.

A day path

What one day looks like

There is no morning-only or evening-only version of this label. Both capsules happen every day.

  1. Morning

    First capsule, before breakfast

One capsule, 20 to 30 minutes before you eat, with a full 8 oz glass of water.

  2. Through the day

The gap is doing its job

Nothing to take here. The hours between capsules are what keep the two doses separate instead of stacked.

  3. Evening

    Second capsule, before dinner

The second capsule, 20 to 30 minutes before your evening meal, with another 8 oz of water.

  4. Next day

    The cycle repeats

Same two capsules, same gap. Sixty capsules at two a day is 30 days, which is what one bottle covers.

Missed a capsule?

What to do about a missed dose

If you forget a capsule

Take it as soon as you remember, then take the next one at its normal time and gap before a meal. If it is already close to when the next capsule is due, skip the missed one and get back on schedule with the next dose. Do not stack a missed capsule onto the one you are about to take.

If a whole day slips by

Move on to today's two capsules on the usual schedule. One missed day does not need to be made up. The bottle will simply last a day longer than the 30-day figure, which is not a problem worth solving with extra capsules.

Don't catch up this way

Why never to double up

Never take extra capsules to catch up

Doubling up pushes the two lines on this panel that already sit close to a limit even further past it, on a single day, for no benefit the label describes.

What a mistaken double dose adds up to in a single day
NutrientNormal day, two capsulesIf you take four in one dayLimit to know
Niacin (as NE)40 mg NE80 mg NE35 mg NE, the upper limit for supplemental niacin National Institutes of Health, 2022
Zinc (as zinc oxide)32 mg64 mg40 mg, the adult upper limit from all sources National Institutes of Health, 2026
Biotin800 mcg1,600 mcgNo upper limit is set, but higher biotin intake raises the odds of skewed lab results U.S. et al., 2022

None of this makes a double dose an emergency. It does mean there is no upside to it: the label was not written for four capsules, and going past 35 mg of supplemental niacin or 40 mg of zinc is worth avoiding on purpose rather than by accident. More on both limits, and on biotin's effect on blood tests, is on the side effects page.

Storage

Storing the bottle between doses

  • Store it a cool, dry place, sealed, and out of reach of children. Room temperature, away from a stove, a sunny windowsill or a steamy bathroom shelf, keeps a vegetable capsule in the shape it started in.
  • Keep the cap on and the bottle sealed between doses. It is a simple way to keep the count accurate, which matters if you are trying to reach exactly 30 days from 60 capsules.
  • Check the safety seal before the first use. DO NOT USE IF THE SAFETY SEAL IS DAMAGED OR MISSING, and that instruction is printed on the bottle itself, not added here.
  • Keep it out of reach of children, every time, not only on the first day the bottle is opened.
The arithmetic

The Supplement Facts panel counts a serving as one capsule and the container as sixty servings. The directions ask for two of those servings a day, so a single bottle covers 30 days at the dose the label describes, not 60. The checkout page calls one bottle a 30-day supply for the same reason.

Taking one capsule a day instead of two would stretch a bottle to 60 days, but it would also be half the label dose, and every percentage printed on the panel assumes both capsules are taken. See the full breakdown of what a single capsule contains next to what a full day contains on the Supplement Facts page, or compare kit prices against how many days each one actually covers.

Keep in mind

The routine does not change what this is

Following the label exactly does not turn TheyaVue into a treatment for anything. It is still a support supplement, taken on a schedule, with a bottle that lasts 30 days at that schedule. If your vision changes at any point, before or after starting it, that calls for an eye exam, not a change to how you take a capsule. A realistic sense of what a few months on this schedule can and cannot show you is on the results timeline page. Questions about an order itself go to the order desk at +1 (315) 724-2018.

How to Use: common questions

How many TheyaVue capsules do I take a day?

Two: one capsule 20-30 minutes before a meal, and a second capsule 20-30 minutes before a different meal, each with a full 8 oz glass of water.

Should I take TheyaVue before or after eating?

Before. The physical label says 20-30 minutes before a meal. Some outside listings describe taking it after a meal; the label on the bottle is what governs, and it says before.

What happens if I forget a capsule?

Take it when you remember if it is not close to your next dose, or skip it and take your next capsule on its normal schedule. Do not add it to your next dose.

Can I take both capsules at once to catch up?

No. A double dose in one day pushes niacin to 80 mg NE and zinc to 64 mg, both above their respective daily limits, for no benefit the label describes.

How long does one bottle last?

Thirty days, if you take two capsules a day as directed. The bottle holds 60 capsules, and the checkout calls one bottle a 30-day supply for that reason.

Where should I store the capsules?

In a cool, dry place, sealed, and out of reach of children, away from heat, direct sun and bathroom humidity.

What if the safety seal on my bottle is broken?

Do not use it. The label itself says not to use the product if the safety seal is damaged or missing.

Does taking it more precisely make it work better on eyesight?

No. Following the directions exactly is about staying inside the amounts the label describes. It does not turn a support supplement into a treatment for blurred vision or an eye disease.
